US sanctions Russian IT firm Aquarius, deals must end by Oct 15

WASHINGTON, Sep 16 (PRIME) -- The U.S. Department of the Treasury has imposed sanctions against Russian IT company Aquarius, and the necessary transactions to curb down cooperation with the firm are authorized till October 15, the authority said late on Thursday in a statement.

Aquarius was added to a new package of anti-Russia sanctions along with three dozen of Russian companies related to manufacture of microchips and quantum computing.

The new package of the sanctions was adopted on Thursday.
